The Best Upset Stomach Remedy

We have all been there. Stomach bug, too much to drink (or not following the rule on not mixing), ate something bad. Whatever, you’ve been vomiting and nothing seems to calm your stomach that is acting like a Mexican drug cartel on Friday night in Juarez. After years of field research I think I have found the answer. Rice, sugar and cinnamon.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup of white rice
1 quart water
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 stick cinnamon

Bring the water to boil in a two quart sauce pan. When the water begins to boil, pour the rice in. Let water continue to boil for 1 minute. Drop the cinnamon in the water. Turn the fire down all the way but not off. Add the sugar. Cover the rice and cook for about 30 minutes more. Stir occasionally so the rice does not stick.

You are not making rice, you are making rice broth. When ready, pour a coffee cup about 2/3 full of the liquid. Spoon a tablespoon or two of the rice into the cup. Let cool then sip. If you feel like it you can try to eat some of the rice, but not much.

I don’t know why this works but it does. Got something that works for you. Let me know. And if you actually happen to be in Juarez on a Friday night…What the hell are you doing in Juarez?

My bestie told me to make the same thing. I’ve had a stomach bug for 8 days.

    I’m making this now.

    Thanks for posting.
    Hope this really does work.
